Job Summary

The Commission Scolaire Central Quebec / Central Quebec School Board is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor Evening to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our educational institutions and buildings. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our premises, as well as the proper functioning of our equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance work of skilled and unskilled workers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect and check lighting, heating, and ventilation systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including minor or temporary fixes, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of buildings and equipment, identifying and reporting any issues or concerns.
  • Develop and implement procedures for the safe use, storage, and disposal of products and materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facilities and equipment are properly maintained and upgraded.
  • Provide guidance and support to other nonspecialized employees, as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and protocols, as well as safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
