Job Summary

Propak Systems Ltd. is a leading engineering, fabrication, and construction company specializing in gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team in Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and overhaul heavy vehicles and industrial equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Troubleshoot system failures and identify faults or hazards to prevent accidents.
  • Respond to work orders and provide suggestions for equipment replacement to minimize downtime.
  • Write detailed mechanical maintenance reports and adhere to safety and performance standards.
  • Provide recommendations on equipment lifespan and advise on component replacement to prevent potential risks.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including supplies ordered and used.
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent larger issues and reduce costs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality.
  • Perform emergency repairs and choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience.
  • Sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, Conflict of Interest Agreement, and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement upon hire.
