Job Summary

Propak Systems Ltd. is seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team in Airdrie, AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling heavy vehicles and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair heavy vehicles and industrial equipment
  • Troubleshoot system failures and identify faults or hazards
  • Respond to Work Order requests and provide suggestions for equipment replacement
  • Write mechanical maintenance reports and adhere to safety and performance standards
  • Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and advise on potential risks
  • Keep records of maintenance and repair work, including supplies ordered and used
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
  • Perform emergency repairs and choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience
  • As a condition of employment, employees are required to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, Conflict of Interest Agreement, and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement
