Propak Systems Ltd. is seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team in Airdrie, AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling heavy vehicles and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair heavy vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Troubleshoot system failures and identify faults or hazards.
  • Respond to Work Order requests and provide suggestions for equipment replacement.
  • Write mechanical maintenance reports and adhere to safety and performance standards.
  • Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and advise on potential risks.
  • Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted.
  • Ensure routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality.
  • Perform emergency repairs and choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs.

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document.
  • Minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience.
  • As a condition of employment, employees are required to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement, and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
