Job Summary:

The York Catholic District School Board is seeking a highly skilled and creative Marketing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Brand, Marketing and Communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our province-leading school board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives to promote the YCDSB to target audiences through various channels.
  • Brainstorm innovative marketing ideas to positively position the YCDSB with potential students and parents.
  • Produce high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, advertisements, flyers, scripts, website content, fact sheets, infographics, reports, and speeches.
  • Engage and activate various stakeholders, both internally and externally, to promote the YCDSB's brand and mission.
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with the YCDSB's Multi-Year Strategic Plan and brand identity.
  • Collect and analyze data on digital marketing efforts to inform future marketing strategies.
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in brand, marketing, communications, advertising, or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of leading marketing campaigns using digital and print materials.
  • Strong research and writing skills, with a knack for storytelling.
  • Experience designing and producing graphic materials is an asset.
  • Well-organized, data-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Awareness of Catholic education principles is an asset.
  • Experience working in the education system is considered an asset.
