Job Summary

Sunrise Freight Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy-duty equipment, ensuring that our fleet is running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use computerized and other testing equipment to detect faults and malfunctions in heavy-duty equipment.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Diagnose faults or malfunctions and repair or replace defective parts to ensure that equipment is functioning properly.
  • Order and Maintain Inventory: Order parts and maintain inventory to ensure that necessary components are available for repairs.
  • Perform Maintenance Work: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to ensure that equipment is running smoothly.
  • Test and Adjust Equipment: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and adjust new equipment to ensure that it meets manufacturers' specifications.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, excellent oral communication, flexible, judgement, reliable, and a team player.
Work Conditions
  • Noisy Work Environment: Work in a noisy environment with heavy machinery.
