Opportunity for a Lead UX/UI Designer at CARFAX

We are on the lookout for a skilled Lead UX/UI Designer who is eager to contribute to a respected organization. Your primary focus will be on enhancing our user account experience, fostering enduring connections with our customers throughout their vehicle purchasing and ownership journey. You will utilize the CARFAX brand alongside our premier data to create intuitive designs that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product managers, user experience researchers, and developers to address both business and user challenges.
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer needs through discovery activities and design sprints, including user research, competitive analysis, user task identification, journey mapping, process flows, and service blueprints.
  • Formulate UX strategies and champion best practices in user experience design.
  • Utilize market research, customer insights, site analytics, and usability findings to guide design choices and assess design effectiveness.
  • Create high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that harmonize aesthetics with usability across various devices.
  • Prototype designs to test concepts and solutions, presenting potential designs to stakeholders while clearly articulating design rationale.
  • Work with the UX team to ensure consistency and recognize overarching patterns across our product offerings.
  • Engage in an Agile team environment that thrives on iterative development.
  • Provide mentorship and support to fellow designers, nurturing a collaborative and innovative design culture.
  • Stay updated on design trends, tools, and technologies, sharing insights with the team.
Qualifications:
  • 7-9+ years of experience in designing responsive web interfaces, preferably for consumer-facing applications.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including interactive prototyping capabilities.
  • A degree, certification, or equivalent experience demonstrating expertise in User Experience.
  • An online portfolio showcasing your comprehensive design process.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
