About the Position
We are seeking a seasoned UX/UI designer to lead our design initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary advocate for user experience and interface design across our gaming portfolio. Your responsibilities will encompass the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that effectively communicate design ideas and user journeys. Additionally, you will design graphic UI components for production. We are looking for proactive individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess a profound understanding of player needs and behaviors.
This position will start as a Part-Time (20 hours per week) contract role, with the potential to transition into a full-time permanent position. We welcome applicants from the United States and Canada. This is a remote opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to convey design concepts and user flows for our games and related functionalities.
- Create graphic user interfaces, including game UI, menus, and website elements, utilizing design software such as Figma and Adobe Illustrator.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate UX/UI designs into our games.
- Transform intricate game concepts into user-friendly and visually appealing designs.
- Present and advocate for design concepts throughout the prototyping and development phases.
- Champion player needs and preferences during the design process.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in game UX/UI design or a related field.
- A genuine passion for gaming and a strong empathy for player needs and behaviors.
- A self-motivated individual who excels in dynamic and fast-paced settings, demonstrating ownership and adaptability to new challenges.
- A robust portfolio showcasing your ability to translate complex ideas into intuitive and visually compelling designs.
- Extensive proficiency in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and other design tools.
