Job Title: Bookkeeper

B.C. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general ledgers.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Payroll and Accounts Payable: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, and manage accounts payable.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balances and reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Sage Accounting Software, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and excellent written communication skills.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Work Environment: Office environment.
  • Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting, occasional standing, and minimal lifting.

  • Excellent Written Communication: Ability to prepare clear and concise financial reports.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
