Position Overview: Mortgage Specialist, Refinance - Internal Sales

Reporting Structure:

Reports to: Manager, Internal Sales

Employment Type:

Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

The Mortgage Specialist plays a vital role in retaining existing clients through refinancing and porting options. Key duties include:

  • Managing incoming inquiries related to ports, refinancing, and client requests for porting and increases.
  • Retaining accounts that are at risk of discharge due to property switches or sales.
  • Proactively reaching out to First National customers to encourage retention (both inbound and outbound).
  • Preparing and submitting applications for underwriting approval related to refinancing, debt consolidation, ports, and title changes.
  • Promoting Mortgage Life Insurance and Home Warranty programs.
  • Leveraging technology to streamline the mortgage process.
  • Being accountable for retention metrics.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures to meet AML requirements when applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in inbound/outbound sales.
  • Familiarity with mortgage underwriting policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of mortgage and related debt products to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.
  • Effective collaboration with internal business partners.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as necessary to accommodate workload demands.
