This opportunity is within a newly established small option home in Kentville, aimed at individuals who are motivated to create a positive impact and provide assistance.

Job Title: Residential Support Specialist

Employment Type: Casual

Compensation: $16.49 - $17.70 per hour

Benefits:

  • Day shifts
  • Evening shifts
  • Morning shifts
  • Night shifts
  • Weekend availability as required

Key Responsibilities:

Casual staff are expected to be available for a minimum of 6 shifts each month, including weekends and holidays, and must be prepared for last-minute coverage due to absences.

Availability to cover during summer vacations, holidays, and to work on Christmas/Christmas Eve or New Year's/New Year's Eve is essential.

Ensure attendance for all assigned shifts.

Provide monthly availability to scheduling personnel by the specified date on the calendar displayed in the homes.

Participant Support:

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all participant-related matters.

Assist Program Coordinators and the team in the development, execution, and assessment of participant care plans.

Document participant information in accordance with established charting protocols.

Accompany participants to community activities, optimizing the use of public transportation.

Operational Duties:

Conduct household cleaning tasks as outlined in the housekeeping schedule.

Plan and prepare meals in accordance with the menu plan and relevant policies.

Perform additional related tasks as necessary.

A Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check is mandatory.
