About the Role:

We are seeking a Partner Development Manager who will play a crucial role in establishing new commercial alliances that attract additional merchants to Lightspeed. Each partnership will require a tailored Go-To-Market strategy that aligns with the objectives of the prospective partners, motivating them to onboard restaurateurs onto the Lightspeed platform. A comprehensive understanding of the partner's aspirations, offerings, and industry landscape is essential.

This position entails presenting partnership strategies to qualified leads, negotiating commercial terms, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for partners, and representing Lightspeed at major hospitality industry events as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline to execute the market strategy for assigned territories.
  • Forge new commercial partnerships that drive merchant acquisition for Lightspeed.
  • Engage in outbound prospecting and inbound qualification to recruit new integration and referral partnerships.
  • Achieve sales quotas as defined by leadership.
  • Provide regular updates and forecasts on pipeline status—monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Facilitate a seamless transition to the designated Partner Trainer, Partner Growth Manager, and Partner Marketing Manager.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders, advocating for partners within Lightspeed.
  • Deliver defined ROI, key insights, and evaluate the impact of partnerships to enhance market share, brand visibility, and sales.
  • Maintain a strong grasp of current industry trends and developments.
  • Participate in marketing and industry events.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the POS domain, understanding how Lightspeed's product suite supports various stages of restaurant operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in channel sales; software sales experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in generating sales forecasts.
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-direction with a proactive approach.
  • Strong B2B relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to formulate comprehensive growth strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French, along with group presentation abilities.
  • Capacity to excel in a competitive and dynamic environment.
  • Adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SaaS sales.
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce, Mac OS, G Suite, Slack, and Microsoft Office.
  • Background in the hospitality sector.
  • Proficiency in French communication, both written and verbal.
