Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Baker to prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and breads. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced bakery environment and be able to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and breads according to recipes and special customer orders.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Prepare special orders for customers, including custom cakes and pastries.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer expectations.
  • Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting and testing baked goods.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently to produce high-quality baked goods.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Dependability and reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Working Conditions

The Baker will work in a fast-paced bakery environment with a variety of equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of quality and productivity.

Language

The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.
