About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at ACE Coffee Roasters. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our coffee shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food and beverage offerings meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that their experience is positive and memorable.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators, and maintain accurate records of staff performance and customer feedback.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that the coffee shop is adequately staffed at all times.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Setting: Coffee shop environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, team player, dependability.
