Job Summary

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking an experienced Organizational Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Organizational Development department, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of our leaders and teams, driving organizational change and improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver organizational development programs that enhance leadership skills and effectiveness
  • Lead and support change initiatives, including transformational change, redesigns, and culture change, in support of HHS' strategic priorities and goals
  • Foster positive team dynamics, performance, and effectiveness by facilitating organizational development interventions and other team activities
  • Continuously develop own organizational development practice through research and professional development, contributing to effective organizational development solutions and continuous improvement of processes and tools
  • Support individual, team, and organizational effectiveness through consulting services, and collaborate with other support functions in the delivery of people strategies
Requirements
  • University degree in Organizational Development, Psychology, Human Resources Management, Business, Health Services Administration, or relevant post-degree designation
  • Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in Organizational Development or related position
  • Advanced experience in 2 or more of the following OD specialties: leadership development programs, learning and development programs, leadership coaching, change management, team interventions/support, and organization design
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in OD theories and principles, including adult education, change management, team dynamics, behavioral sciences, leadership behaviors, organizational culture, and systems
  • Experience working in a large, complex healthcare organization is an asset
  • Highly skilled in working with diverse stakeholders at all levels of an organization, and able to influence and advise leaders
  • Highly advanced skills in leadership, facilitation, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and prioritize to meet deadlines in a dynamic, complex, and changing environment
  • Proficient in change management skills, and able to act as a change agent and to enable and deliver sustainable change in support of the community of HHS, including patients, families, staff, and physicians
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment that leverages the strengths and abilities of all members
  • Ability to research and leverage evidence-based practices, and to put best practice into action
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Zoom
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodology will be considered an asset
  • Able to deliver services both in-person and virtually to teams at various Hamilton Health Sciences sites
