Halton Healthcare Services is seeking a visionary leader to fill the role of Director of Professional Practice and Chief Practice Information Officer. This strategic position will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare through innovative approaches to integrated health services and exceptional patient care.

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare issues, trends, and technology, as well as the ability to advise on strategic planning, management, and service delivery. They will lead the integration of evidence-based practice into clinical workflows, leveraging digital tools to support high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and sustain a professional practice environment that supports evidence-based practice and regulatory standards.
  • Provide clinical leadership in the adoption and optimization of digital health tools that enhance professional practice.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure digital health strategies align with clinical and operational workflows.
  • Lead clinical informatics strategies in collaboration with the ICT Team.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of technology and workflows to support positive patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Five years of increasingly responsible leadership experience in a complex health system environment.
  • Working knowledge of Regulated Health Professions Act, Regulatory College Standards, and related healthcare legislation.
  • Good understanding of hospital operations and inter-relationships between clinical, ICT, and enabling departments.
  • Experience implementing digital health technologies is considered an asset.
