About the Role:

The Chief Cost Estimator is a key member of our estimating team, responsible for preparing and assisting with complete conceptual and final estimating of scopes of work. This role requires excellent organization skills, team building, and coaching as a leader and team member.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and assist in the preparation of estimate packages
  • Use cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids
  • Establish unit costs, labour rates, productivity factors, and location impacts
  • Assess company risk and opportunity evaluation with clients
  • Develop and maintain supplier, contractor, and subcontractor relationships

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering degree, or an appropriate field
  • Combination of education and work experience will be considered
  • Knowledge and experience with a full range of projects including Design Build, Lump Sum, and Construction Management
