Job Summary:

Harbinger Network Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Chief Cost Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for preparing and/or assisting with complete conceptual and final estimating of scopes of work, developing and/or assisting in the preparation of estimate packages, and using your knowledge to focus work and drive short- and long-term solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or assist with complete conceptual and final estimating of scopes of work
  • Develop and/or assist in the preparation of estimate packages
  • Use knowledge to focus work and drive short- and long-term solutions
  • Excellent organization skills, team building, and coaching as a leader and team member
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings
  • Ability to use cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering degree, or an appropriate field
  • Direct and manage the activities of the estimating team, including performance management, training and development, mentoring, and compensation management
  • Knowledge and experience with a full range of projects, including Design Build, Lump Sum, and Construction Management
  • Establish unit costs, labor rates, productivity factors, and location impacts
  • Responsible for assessing company risk and opportunity evaluation with clients
  • Develop and maintain supplier, contractor, and subcontractor relationships

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering degree, or an appropriate field
