Job Title: Chief Cost Estimator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Cost Estimator to join our team at Harbinger Network Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and assisting with complete conceptual and final estimating of scopes of work, developing and assisting in the preparation of estimate packages, and using knowledge to focus work and drive short- and long-term solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assist with complete conceptual and final estimating of scopes of work
  • Develop and assist in the preparation of estimate packages
  • Use knowledge to focus work and drive short- and long-term solutions
  • Excellent organization skills, team building, and coaching as a leader and team member
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings
  • Ability to use cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering degree, or an appropriate field
  • Direct and manage the activities of the estimating team, including performance management, training and development, mentoring, and compensation management
  • Knowledge and experience with a full range of projects, including Design Build, Lump Sum, and Construction Management
  • Establish unit costs, labor rates, productivity factors, and location impacts
  • Responsible for assessing company risk and opportunity evaluation with clients
  • Develop and maintain supplier, contractor, and subcontractor relationships
