About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Jon Smith Subs - Sherwood Park. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food products are prepared and served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that meet the tastes and preferences of our customers, while ensuring profitability and efficiency in food preparation and inventory management.

Food Preparation and Presentation

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and food safety.

Kitchen Operations and Management

Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers to ensure seamless kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.

Inventory Management and Control

Manage inventory levels, order supplies and equipment, and maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Cleanliness and Safety

Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards and regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.

Work Environment and Conditions

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail, and physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods.

Personal Qualities

Excellent client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills.
