About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Markham Stouffville Hospital. As a key member of our nutrition care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nutrition assessment and care planning for adult patients in an acute care setting
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in nutrition care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Current membership in the College of Dietitians of Ontario, in good standing
  • Membership with Dietitians of Canada (DC), preferred
  • CNSC designation is an asset
  • A minimum of 2 years clinical experience in nutrition care support of adult patient population in an acute care setting
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
  • Excellent assessment, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated competency with EMR charting systems, CBORD, and associated computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a interprofessional team
  • Access to own transportation to travel in between sites
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
Work Schedule

The successful candidate will need to be available to work rotating Sundays and every Friday.

Please note, schedules are subject to change based on operational needs.

Required to work between both Markham and Reactivation Care Centre (RCC) sites.
