Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at JPS Trucking Ltd. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Logistics: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism and courtesy to all customers.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Safety: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle safety.
  • Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.

Working Conditions:
  • Work Schedule: 60 to 70 hours per week.
