About the Role

JPS Trucking Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Logistics and Planning: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide professionalism in customer service, including receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling dangerous goods.
  • Administrative Tasks: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
  • Work Experience: Experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions and long hours.
