About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at KM RENOVATIONS. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, Cut, and Assemble Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, taking into account the scope of work, materials, and labor costs.
  • Install Windows, Doors, and Stairs: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware for residential and commercial projects.
  • Survey Building Locations and Levels: Survey building locations and levels to ensure accurate measurements and installation.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, taking into account the scope of work and client requirements.
  • Maintain and Repair Residences and Wooden Structures: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Site Environment: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in construction, various locations, renovation, institutional, and residential settings.
  • Level of Expertise: Skilled in maintenance and repair, with experience in woodworking and joinery.
  • Tasks: Ability to perform a variety of tasks, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience working with hand tools.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, handle heavy loads, work overtime, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, reliability, values and ethics, and punctuality.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
