About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at KM RENOVATIONS. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, Cut, and Assemble Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Prepare detailed tenders and quotations for clients, taking into account materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Install Windows, Doors, and Stairs: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless and secure finish.
  • Survey Building Locations and Levels: Conduct thorough site surveys to determine building locations and levels, ensuring accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, taking into account client budgets and project specifications.
  • Maintain and Repair Residences and Wooden Structures: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Site Environment: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in construction, renovation, and various locations.
  • Level of Expertise: Skilled in maintenance and repair, with experience in tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Proficient in using hand tools.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, judgment, reliability, values, and ethics, with a strong sense of punctuality.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
