Job Summary:

The CNC Machinist Operator will be responsible for cutting and shaping stone and other materials using computer-controlled machinery. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings to determine cutting specifications
  • Make adjustments to the CNC machine as needed to ensure accurate cuts
  • Operate the CNC machine and other equipment to cut and shape stone and other materials
  • Verify the quality of the finished product against specifications and industry standards
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed
  • Report any issues or defects to the production supervisor
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as CNC machining or stone fabrication
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in reading technical drawings and operating CNC machinery
  • Strong understanding of imperial and metric measurements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software
  • Knowledge of the stone industry is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Good physical health and ability to lift heavy objects
