Mechanical Design Technician

About the Role
As a Mechanical Design Technician at Elephant Play, you will play a crucial role in bringing our innovative toy designs to life. You'll work closely with our design team to translate concepts into detailed 3D models and technical drawings, ensuring seamless manufacturing and production processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop precise 3D models and 2D drawings from design specifications and blueprints, providing clear instructions for manufacturing and production teams.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for subcontractors (laser cutting, folding, etc.) and purchasing (Bill of Materials, etc.), ensuring smooth procurement processes.
- Provide technical support to the production team, addressing any questions or challenges related to designs and drawings.
- Document and validate production and technical specifications, maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout the process.
- Continuously update drawings and documentation as needed, reflecting design revisions and improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional teamwork skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Strong creative thinking and technical problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Solidworks software is essential.
- Experience with Rhino and AutoCAD is a valuable asset.
- Understanding of welded assemblies and CNC cutting file generation.
- Familiarity with office suite applications.
- Functional English language skills.
