Reports to: Director, Learning and Development

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 2 days remote per week

Location: Toronto, ON

Role's Mission

The Bilingual Learning and Development Specialist will play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of learning programs, acting as the Training Management System (TMS) administrator, and coordinating learning initiatives. This role will also involve developing and delivering training programs, working closely with employees and leaders, and participating in special projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and deliver technical and non-technical training programs.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions, utilizing various instructional methods.
  • Develop and update comprehensive training materials and programs.
  • Apply adult learning principles in training delivery.
  • Support diversity, equity, and employee development initiatives.
  • Manage training logistics and ensure schedules are coordinated.
  • Research industry best practices and manage external vendor relationships.
  • Assess training effectiveness and gather participant feedback.
  • Oversee internal and external facilitators.
  • Manage the Training Management System (TMS) and Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Handle administrative tasks related to training programs.
  • Align training initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Ensure efficiency and accuracy in Learning and Development tasks.
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business, or Communications
  • Bilingual (or near bilingual) in French and English
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a Human Resources department, ideally working on L&D projects
  • Knowledge of instructional design approaches, instruction methodologies, and learner-centric design and learning solutions
  • Quick learner, detail-oriented with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Prior experience working as an LMS or TMS administrator, preferred
  • Prior experience hosting and producing virtual workshops, preferred
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Collaborative team player
  • Customer-centric mindset coupled with excellent interpersonal skills
