Job Summary
The Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in the Laboratory Medicine Program. As a Histology Specialist, you will be responsible for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining histological specimens.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, embed, cut, and stain histological specimens, including H&E's, special stains, and frozen sections.
- Perform quality control checks on histological preparations to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
- Current Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in all aspects of Histology.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in both Official Languages, French and English, is considered an asset.
