Laboratory Technologist

The Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technologist to join our team in the Core Laboratory setting. As a Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory procedures accurately, efficiently, and safely while maintaining quality control and prioritizing workload.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine, urgent, and stat specimen testing in a fully computerized and highly automated Core Laboratory setting.
- Accurately and efficiently perform a variety of laboratory procedures while maintaining quality control and prioritizing workload.
- Participate in quality assurance projects and safety projects as required.
- Teach, train, and mentor students and co-workers as required.
- Contribute to the education and development of students and co-workers.
- Current Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
- Successful completion of an accredited MLT program.
- Current core laboratory experience, including Core Hematology and Core Clinical Chemistry.
- Computer skills including EPIC & Microsoft office applications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced Core Laboratory setting with a team of experienced Laboratory Technologists. The working hours will be varied, including day, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
