Job Title: Chief of Laboratory Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Laboratory Medicine to join our team at Ancaster Endoscopy Clinic.

Job Summary:

The Chief of Laboratory Medicine will be responsible for leading our laboratory team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality laboratory services to our patients. This is a key leadership role that requires strong clinical and management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with our medical staff and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the laboratory team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
  • Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, including testing, quality control, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with our medical staff to ensure that laboratory results are accurately interpreted and communicated to patients.
  • Develop and manage the laboratory budget, including forecasting and budgeting for supplies, equipment, and personnel.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory technologies and techniques, and implement new methods and procedures as needed.
  • Ensure that our laboratory is accredited and compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as laboratory medicine or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a laboratory leadership role, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Strong clinical and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with our medical staff and other departments.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory technologies and techniques.
