The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive Sales Operations Leader with expertise in electronic payments to become an integral part of our rapidly expanding organization. This role serves as a vital connection between the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and the sales team, overseeing daily sales operations, training sales personnel, monitoring staff performance, ensuring the creation of pertinent documentation, and assisting in achieving sales objectives. This position reports directly to the CRO and collaborates closely with key stakeholders to drive business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in formulating sales strategies and actively engage in their execution.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CRO and Account Executives, promoting alignment and effective communication.
  • Lead weekly sales team meetings.
  • Manage daily sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, pipeline management, and deal closures.
  • Ensure adherence to sales processes, policies, and procedures by the sales team.
  • Monitor and assess performance and KPIs, implementing improvement strategies as necessary.
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance to the CRO and other stakeholders.
  • Generate data-driven reports and actionable recommendations.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets through exceptional leadership.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of VoPay's product offerings, including features, benefits, use cases, and value propositions.
  • Stay informed about product updates, enhancements, and new releases, effectively communicating these to the sales team and customers.
  • Create thorough training programs covering product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, and customer relationship management.
  • Offer ongoing training and mentorship to both new and existing sales representatives to boost their performance and productivity.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of up-to-date documentation for relevant product information, sales processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with product management and development teams to provide insights on product functionality, customer needs, and market demand.
  • Work with the recruitment team to attract and onboard top-tier talent.
  • Stay updated on developments in the fintech industry and maintain knowledge of competitors' products, pricing, positioning, and strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role within the payment and/or SaaS industry, with at least 4+ years dedicated to managing and enhancing sales teams.
  • 7+ years of sales experience.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in communications, business, marketing, finance, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Experience in mentoring staff and creating training materials.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and team-building abilities, capable of motivating and guiding a team towards excellence.
  • A strong background in coaching, training, and team development.
  • A proactive, positive mindset, driven by a passion for sales excellence and achieving goals.
  • Experience in generating sales forecasts and analyzing sales data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Proficiency in utilizing data-driven insights to inform sales strategy, ensuring optimized performance and growth.
  • Strong written communication skills.
