Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing analysis, design, development, and implementation of new application systems or the customization and implementation of packaged solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with users to understand and analyze their information requirements on specific task requests.
  • Analyze the situation or problem to reach a recommendation or solution.
  • Complete assigned programming and analysis tasks within established guidelines and timelines, including appropriate testing and documentation.
  • Understand the relationships, concepts, and designs used by the Division's client-server and web-based systems.
  • Understand database constructs and make effective use of the tools that support these databases.
  • Share ideas, suggestions, and solutions with co-workers working on similar projects or areas.
  • Provide second-level support for technical analysts and help desk staff.
  • Ensure Division, department, and branch policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements
  • A diploma in Computer Technology.
  • A minimum of three years of IT experience working with client-server and web development tools and/or in a database administration and support role.
  • Experience in a variety of applications and programming languages and knowledge of relational databases.
  • Project management training and an ability to meet changing priorities using creative and innovative technology.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and time management skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively with team members and clients.

We use a variety of technologies, including Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, UNIX/Linux shell scripts, ColdFusion, Groovy/Grails, and MySQL.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.47-$46.52 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Benefits: Company pension, dental care, extended health care, on-site parking, paid time off, vision care, wellness program

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
