Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

Brandt is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Lloydminster Peterbilt location. This role is essential for the diagnosis, repair, and upkeep of trucks, trailers, and buses within a workshop setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the operational status of, diagnose, disassemble/reassemble, and repair on-road vehicles efficiently and effectively.
- Safely utilize secondary materials and equipment.
- Employ relevant instruments, hand/power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
- Document all unit information, actions taken, and time spent accurately on work orders.
- Continuously evaluate service task hazards and ensure that work is conducted safely and meets accepted standards.
- Utilize computer applications and information systems to record maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics.
- Collaborate with equipment engineers to diagnose issues and meet warranty requirements.
- Conduct road tests on equipment and confirm repairs as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with equipment engineers, service teams, and branch personnel.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proven technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration tasks.
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills to assess mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
- Strong time-management abilities to operate effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Experience
- Prior mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment is essential.
- Certification as a Journeyperson in the Truck and Transport technician trade or an equivalent designated trade is preferred.
- Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is considered an asset.
- Commitment to customer service and service excellence is necessary.
