Job Title: Post Office Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Post Office Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, processing mail and packages, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell postal products and services to businesses and individuals
  • Sort, distribute, and process mail and packages
  • Provide customers with information and forms
  • Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in business administration
  • Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
  • Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
  • Physical fitness to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work

Working Conditions:

This is a safety-sensitive position, and as such, you will be required to undergo a security screening process as part of the selection process. You will also be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
