About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as an Outlet Manager - F&B at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to deliver exceptional guest service and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, motivating employees and directing the organization of the assigned F&B outlet to create a passion for consistent service.
  • Ensure effective leadership, training, development, coaching, and performance management of employees, selecting the right leaders and placing them in the right roles.
  • Implement and maintain the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge Food and Beverage Standards as the core culture in the outlet, setting a high standard of guest service and ensuring consistency throughout the team.
  • Manage daily payroll in line with daily covers, revenues, and forecasted productivities.
  • Build and maintain a positive work environment, employee relationships, and consistency in high employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure a clean and well-maintained work environment, promoting employee health and safety.
  • Provide on-floor leadership and resources to ensure each team member is set up for success.
  • Maintain open communication with all departments within the hotel and pass information along to employees.
  • Create incentive programs, monthly food and beverage promotions, and continuous improvement ideas for the existing incentive program.
  • Involve the Restaurant Management team to ensure accurate employee performance reviews are completed by anniversary dates.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Hotel Food and Beverage leadership experience.
  • Extensive knowledge in all areas of F&B service.
  • A passion for food, wine, and exceptional guest service is essential.
  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with a high level of motivation, energy, enthusiasm, decisiveness, creativity, and flair.
  • Proven leadership, administrative, and staff development skills are necessary.
  • Flexibility to work as business volumes dictate.
  • Computer literacy, with a preference for individuals with strong knowledge of Micros 9700 and Opera.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all co-workers and external candidates.
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Having vision and the ability to lead employees consistently to achieve goals.
