Your Role

As a Senior Game Systems Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of advanced engine systems that drive our gaming experiences. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a passionate team focused on delivering exceptional gameplay.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, modifying, and optimizing gameplay systems to enhance player experience
  • Conducting research and documenting enhancements for gameplay systems
  • Evaluating software performance across various platforms
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, design, and art
  • Participating in performance evaluations and code reviews
  • Contributing to the evolution of state-of-the-art engine technology
  • Cooperating with other engineering teams to achieve common goals
  • Reporting directly to the Lead Gameplay Systems Engineer

Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in developing and optimizing game and engine systems
  • Strong foundation in 3D mathematics and algebra
  • Expertise in C/C++ programming
  • Experience with multi-threaded systems
  • Understanding of computer architecture and memory management
  • Excellent debugging capabilities
  • Experience shipping at least three titles
  • 8+ years of experience in the gaming industry or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming principles
  • A passion for gaming and technology
  • Experience with scripting languages and their runtime execution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with compilers
  • Development experience in networked multiplayer environments
  • Understanding of client-server architecture systems
  • Experience with memory management and garbage collection techniques
