Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse, Medical Rehab Care

Sinai Health is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Medical Rehab Care department. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Job Summary:

The Registered Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients with predictable outcomes and manageable responses. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with the interprofessional team to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide competent, evidence-based nursing practice to selected patients
  • Meet the standards and exercise judgment for providing safe, competent, and ethical nursing care
  • Create and strengthen an environment conducive to professional and personal growth
  • Provide nursing care in collaboration with the patient, significant others, and interprofessional team
Requirements:
  • Diploma from a recognized RPN training program preferred or equivalent
  • Registered Practical Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Previous geriatric experience and/or training required
  • Previous medical and/or surgical clinical experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Regulated Health Professions Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and Standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Bridgepoint Hospital's policies and procedures
  • Current BCLS
  • Excellent assessment and clinical skills
  • Demonstrated ability in providing patient-focused care
  • Proven ability to make decisions and manage workload in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of oral and written English
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others including patients and their families
  • Computer proficiency
  • Demonstrated satisfactory job performance and attendance history required
