About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and expanding a designated sales region, with a focus on growing sales and profit margins through analyzing individual customer needs and prospecting for new customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow sales and profit margins through analyzing individual customer needs and developing customized sales strategies
  • Prospect and onboard new customer accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Educate customers on convenience and foodservice promotions, programs, and marketing policies
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our portfolio of products and services
  • Execute on sales strategy and territory management, planning a sales approach customized with individual customers
  • Perform routine inspections of customer product sections and displays, updating shelf tags as needed
  • Establish a personal relationship with customers to better understand their needs and requirements
  • Review weekly/monthly reports with store managers and assist with any opportunities that may arise
  • Minimize accounts receivable problems by monitoring accounts for compliance with credit terms and following up on any issues
  • Maintain awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory, ensuring competitive pricing
  • Communicate changes in product line or marketplace to customers and the company
  • Assist with processing merchandise returns and perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Proven success in closing sales for a variety of product lines
  • Detail-minded and organized, with the ability to work independently with little direction
  • Proven sales ledger travel and effective time management experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to conduct professional customer presentations
  • Solutions-minded, with the ability to analyze and critically evaluate situations
  • Ability to learn computer programs, systems, and new technology solutions
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Energetic and entrepreneurial spirit
  • General knowledge of food safety standards, including basic HACCP practice and cold-chain integrity
