Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team at Ontario Partners in Health. As a Physiotherapist - Geriatric Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to our clients in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to restore movement and function in clients with orthopedic conditions and pain management needs.
  • Provide physiotherapy services to clients in a long-term care setting, including exercise, manual therapy, and home exercise programs.
  • Prescribe and educate clients on the use of mobility aids, assistive devices, and other equipment.
  • Oversee Physiotherapy Support Personnel (PTA) and provide guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario.
  • Experience in supervising support staff and working with the geriatric population and chronic diseases.
  • CPR certification and ADP certification (or willingness to become certified).
  • Strong physical assessment and treatment planning skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, a commitment to best practices, quality, and client-centered care.
  • 2-3 years of clinical practice experience preferred, with bilingual (French and English) language skills.
