Job Title: Lead Environmental Engineer

Teck Resources Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Environmental Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Technology group, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of innovative environmental technologies and providing technical consulting services to our sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of environmental technology projects, including research and development, testing, and implementation.
  • Provide technical consulting services to Teck sites, including environmental assessments, permitting, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry partners, and academia.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in environmental engineering and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the company.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize environmental technology projects and develop project plans and budgets.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Master's and/or PhD in any of the previous fields is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in water treatment and its practical applications in an industrial context.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with EGBC, or eligible to become registered.
  • Proficient in statistical experimental design and in conducting experiments to evaluate and enhance water chemistry, biogeochemical and/or bioprocess models.

  • A competitive salary range of $117,000 - $144,000.
