About the Role

Foilcon is seeking a highly skilled UX Designer to join our team. As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop user interfaces for various projects, including digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials.
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs to ensure a great user experience.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys to inform design decisions and translate findings into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of web development technologies and their limitations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user flows, user journeys, mockups, and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  • Facilitate the client's product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functions and features.
  • Gather user feedback to configure existing interfaces.
Requirements
  • Experience with industry principles like Google Material Design, iOS Human Interface Guidelines, etc.
  • Experience in developing code using JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Demonstrated experience developing systems using client-side libraries (Bootstrap, Angular JS, jQuery, JavaScript), HTML5/CSS3.
  • Experience with supporting Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0) / AODA.
  • Experience with wireframing tools like Axure, Sketch, Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience with low- to high-fidelity prototyping tools (i.e., Axure, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • B.A./B.S. in Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), or Human Factors.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with team collaboration tools like Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
  • Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS, SCSS, and LESS, Flex-Layout, and CSS grid design concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture.
  • Working knowledge of technology, data, databases, applications, and networking techniques, tools, and practices.
  • Proven experience using a variety of methodologies to carry out the software development lifecycle (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Extensive experience working on projects for Web and Mobile.
