Overview: Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity in the construction sector? Argo Lumber, a key member of the Alpa Lumber Group, is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Order Desk Coordinator.

Position Summary: Located in Maple, Ontario, the Order Desk Coordinator is the primary liaison for all customer orders. This role involves close collaboration with the Shipping, Yard, and Sales Departments to ensure effective processing, coordination, and communication of order and delivery details to clients. Exceptional customer service is a top priority, as the coordinator will address inquiries and requests promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for customer support and order inquiries.
  • Accurately and efficiently process orders as per customer specifications or directives from the sales team.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service via phone and in-person interactions, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of orders from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure that all custom products align with customer specifications.
  • Monitor shipments in customer logs and resolve any shipping discrepancies.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in order desk or customer service roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service both over the phone and face-to-face.
  • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Word and Excel; experience with ERP or Order Entry Software is a significant advantage.
  • Preferred experience in the softwood lumber or residential construction industry.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Dependable and punctual.

Compensation: The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, along with a benefits package that includes vacation and a pension plan.
