About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Lucia Richardson Home Care. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns.
  • Household Management: Assist with light housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Errands and Shopping: Assist clients with grocery shopping, errands, and other tasks, ensuring their independence and autonomy.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Security and Safety: Undergo a criminal record check and maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
