Position Overview

At Evik Diagnostics Innovations, we are at the forefront of the medical device sector, specializing in the development of rapid, single-assay lyophilized beads for both immunological and molecular diagnostics. Our team, comprised of industry experts, is dedicated to creating innovative solutions that cater to a diverse range of testing applications, including rapid PCR Covid test kits and environmental water testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Research to enhance and scale the lyophilization process.
  • Provide prompt responses to customer inquiries and technical questions.
  • Support client development initiatives by offering technical expertise in freeze-drying and analytical testing methodologies.
  • Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely turnaround of experiments and data summaries.
  • Organize and conduct customer meetings, effectively presenting data summaries.
  • Perform hands-on thermal analysis of complex reagent mixtures and dry reagents using techniques such as DSC and FDM.
  • Design and implement testing procedures for DSC and FDM, along with other material testing protocols.
  • Prepare and analyze data summaries based on thermal and physical properties testing results.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for client projects.
  • Assist junior scientists and other departments with expertise in freeze-drying.
  • Oversee the development and review of product development databases and logbooks.
  • Maintain laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, supply ordering, and inventory management.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives as assigned by management.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A PhD or Master's degree in physics, physical chemistry, or material sciences.
  • Two to five years of experience in an industrial laboratory setting.
  • Hands-on experience with Differential Scanning Calorimetry and thermal analysis methods.
  • A deep understanding of scientific principles related to the field.
  • Experience in developing freeze-dry protocols, with knowledge of freeze-dry microscopy considered a significant asset.
