Your Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead the Black Founders Network initiative within the University of Toronto Entrepreneurship team. As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership and managerial oversight to program operations and staff, working closely with the Director, U of T Entrepreneurship to plan, design, develop, and deliver all aspects of the initiative.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of the Black Founders Network initiative, including program design, delivery, and administration.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, supervising a team to ensure the successful execution of program activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including mission-aligned corporate, government, and NFP stakeholders.
  • Steward existing and secure new partnerships to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Black Founders Network.
  • Direct staff's daily work and operations, contributing to the development of ongoing strategic administrative priorities, processes, and facilitating the delivery of program activities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field or equivalent acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of senior administrative experience, including significant management experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Experience working in an educational and/or entrepreneurial setting is highly preferred.
  • Experience with program design, delivery, and administration, as well as project management and community engagement.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as experience working with survey tools and content management systems.
