About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team at BAO SANDWICH BAR as a Bakery Operations Manager. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of our delicious baked goods, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recipe Development and Execution: Develop and implement new recipes for our baked goods, ensuring that they are consistent with our brand's quality and taste standards.
  • Pastry Production: Oversee the production of all pastry items, including bread, rolls, cakes, and pastries, ensuring that they are made to order and meet our quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of all baking supplies, including ingredients, equipment, and packaging materials, to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and train a team of baking personnel, including pastry chefs, bakers, and kitchen assistants, to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to produce high-quality baked goods.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all baked goods meet our quality standards, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a bakery or pastry production environment, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
