About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bakery Team Member to join our team at COBS Bread. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked bakery.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure high-quality products and excellent customer service.
  • Production Scheduling: Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by regularly inspecting and testing baked goods.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery safely and efficiently to produce high-quality baked goods.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Work Environment

As a Bakery Team Member at COBS Bread, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. You will be required to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
