We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Burnaby Hospital, located in Burnaby, B.C. This is a full-time opportunity for a Registered Nurse, Transition Line (Specialty Nursing) to provide high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to provide comprehensive care and make referrals as needed.
- Teach patients and families about health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of the applicable post-graduate specialty nursing course/program and/or willingness to complete the applicable post-graduate specialty nursing courses/program.
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
