About the Role

HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. is seeking a highly skilled Transformers Services Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our transformers services portfolio in North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new transformers services offerings or improvements to existing products.
  • Develop business strategies that align with the company's goals, including setting pricing and positioning strategies for our transformers services offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to develop and launch new transformers services offerings.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of our transformers services offerings, using data to inform decisions about product development and strategy.
  • Coordinate the product lifecycle with the global product management team, from initial concept to end-of-life, providing recommendations about product development and discontinuation based on market data.
  • Live our company's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
  • Have a strong understanding of the theory of operation and construction of transformers, current transformers, bushings, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Must have work authorization that would permit them to work for HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. in Canada.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in product management, preferably in the transformers services industry.
  • Strong understanding of the transformers services market and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30% of the time.
